We’re getting married!

We’re excited to celebrate with you

We're spreading our wedding across two days so we can really soak it all in. We'll have an intimate ceremony at the Orthodox church in Brisbane with close family, then celebrate with everyone at a party on the Sunshine Coast.

Instead of the usual reception you’re used to, we wanted to do something more our vibe. This party will be a chill, sunset celebration with the people we love. Time spent catching up, eating good food and having fun. RSVP in the form below, we can’t wait to see you there!

Approx Schedule

1:30 PM – Arrival

2:00 PM – Ceremony Starts

3:00 PM – Ceremony Finishes

3:15 PM - Light afternoon tea and chats

Dress Code

Please dress formal. Dress shirt and or jacket for men. Something comfortable for ladies (knee-length dresses and covered shoulders optional)

Food

We’ll be serving a light afternoon tea after the ceremony in the courtyard area. Wraps/Sandwiches with gluten/dairy free options available.

Our ceremony will be a Christian Orthodox wedding and will run for around 45 minutes - hour.

Orthodox weddings are traditional and symbolic, so it may look a little different from a typical modern ceremony, but it is centred on Christ, prayer and our marriage covenant before God.

Order of Service

  • Welcome and opening prayers

  • Blessing and exchange of rings

  • The crowning of bride and groom

  • Scripture readings

  • Sharing of the common cup

  • Ceremonial procession (the “Dance of Isaiah”)

  • Final prayers and blessing

The ceremony concludes with congratulations from family and guests.

  • We have some restrictions with numbers for venue and catering. If you have someone you’d like to bring that’s not invited, please let us know.

  • Your presence is the only gift we need.
    For those who have asked, a wishing well will be available on the day.


    Any contribution will go toward our honeymoon and starting married life together.

  • The event is completely indoors and we will be going ahead rain, hail or shine!

  • Yes, we have some facilities available for kids. There’s a small playground as well.
